Gate Valves provide superior sealing characteristics to any other type of valve configuration and Small Bore Gate Valves meet these same criteria. As the demand for Subsea Processing increases the need for high integrity, zero leakage valves increases along with the demand for services to maintain their function and flow assurance. Not all of these services are sited on Subsea Production Systems, where the need for a weight-saving, space-saving and cost-saving solution is paramount.

Services such as Chemical Injection, Hydraulic Control and Process Control require high integrity, Small Bore Valves to match the environments which their systems serve. Some of these applications call for integrated capabilities to prevent back-flow in those situations where over-pressure might lead to contamination of the service fluid.

For services up to 16,500 psi, temperatures from -46 to +175 Deg C, water depths up to 3000m and in a 1’’ NB configuration BEL Valves has designed a Compact Through Conduit Gate Valve (CTCGV) which can be adapted to incorporate an integral Check Valve. These designs are suitable for Surface and Subsea applications on both gas and liquids. They feature a Floating Piston which allows them to be overridden by an ROV even if the hydraulics are locked; a metal backseat in both open and closed positions and 316 stainless steel, as a minimum, in all wetted components. An Open/Close Indicator can be provided without compromising the valve size and, with Butt Weld connections, a typical valve weighs 90kgs. A BEL Valves actuated CTCGV can be installed on hydraulic supply systems rated from 3,000 to 5,000psi without modification and is qualified to ISO 10423 (API 6A), PR2, Hyperbaric, 1200 cycle endurance, 5000 cycle spring fatigue (API 17D) and 100% Methanol Tests. These valves are available in Standard and Exotic materials with trim to suit the service conditions and all materials meet NACE specifications.
