Different valve configurations are used for specific services in both Surface and Subsea duties. The Designer needs to satisfy the Process Variables whilst optimising the Field Architecture and the physical limitations of space and weight are serious considerations in both Subsea and Surface applications. Ball Valves offer a compact solution for many of these demands, particularly in the larger bore sizes.
Typically a Ball Valve is a compact solution suitable for high flow applications, operating at Pressures below 10,000psi, and Temperature Ranges from -46 to +140 Deg C and they are unaffected by water depths up to 3000m.
BEL Valves has designed an extensive range of Qualified Ball Valves in bore sizes from 1” to 40’’ with end or top entry configurations. They feature patented metal-to-metal sealing, single or double piston effect seats, and are available in a range of materials including Duplex, Super Duplex and Inconel.
Qualifications include PR2, Hyperbaric, 1200 cycle and sand slurry testing. In addition the products also feature BEL Valves’ hydraulic spring return and hydraulic double acting actuators, ROV removable actuation and lever/handwheel operation.
The range includes large bore, tight shut-off, Double Block and Bleed type valves. These Ball Valves are installed on services such as Subsea Isolation Valves (SSIV), Emergency Shutdown Valves (ESD) and for Isolation duties on Manifold Export and Flow Lines.
BEL Valves also produce a range of Ball Valves designed to meet the requirements for Specialist, High Integrity Surface Applications.
