Field service and support known as After Market services are offered as an integral part of the BEL Valves portfolio of products and services.

BEL Valves service support organisation provides customers with the skills and knowledge required for the successful completion of valve and actuator projects.

Experienced service personnel deliver superior service and maintenance to Operators and Contractors. Core offering;

• Engineers or After Sales Management on call to attend client facilities
• Experienced service personnel
• Commissioning of BEL Valves supplied equipment
• Multi-language procedures
• Training of local site personnel
• Comprehensive site reports and full certification on all work carried out
• All site documents may be used in the final certificate documentation
• Tooling to function all valves and equipment supplied
• Flushing equipment and hydraulic fluid cleanliness level equipment and certification to Nass6, JIS B 9930 and SAE ARP 598 A standards as and if required
• Spare parts recommendations

Valves with externally fitted components may be damaged when in transit/during handling or turning ready for welding onto the pipe work or manifold installation by incorrect lifting methods or inexperience. The most common damage caused by incorrectly slinging or lifting of the valves are as follows;

• Compensators and pipe work
• Visual Indicators
• Valve body end connections (either BW or Flanged)
• Gearbox casings (ball valves)
• ROV receptacle
• Spring outer casings fitting connections

In the case of damaged compensator or pipe work this will result in the oil draining from the valve actuator compensator system which will require, after the damaged components are replaced, to be filled and re-tested.

BEL Valves offer experienced service technicians who have attended safe lifting courses in the UK to ensure the risk to personnel safety and potential damage is reduced to the minimum.

Due to past experience of equipment being damaged during transportation when arriving at site BEL Valves offer commissioning spares to cover these possible incidents.

BEL Valves provides service assistance for Valves and associated equipment supplied worldwide covering the following areas;

• Lifting procedures/ methods for handling of the valves during removal from their packing cases and installation into the module fabrications.
• In the case where valves are welded into the process pipe work, ensure that the valves are functioned into the open position and all preservation is removed prior to the welding commencing and there is no contamination is in the fluid bores of the valves after welding has been completed.

• Assist project personnel during the site FAT to ensure the valves are functioned into the correct position to allow the system to be fully filled and closing the valves when required to carry out seat testing. All torque readings are recorded for future reference in the final service documentation which will be entered into the project documentation.
• Supply of flushing equipment to carry out the hydraulic pipe work cleanliness verification or oversee this work if the client has their own equipment.
• Equipment supply for topping up hydraulic fluid lost in the compensation systems of the valves in the case of compensator pipe work or fittings damage at site.
