E-Business
BEL Valves are currently in the process of upgrading our systems,
both internally through the establishment of an Intranet and externally
through the setting up of an E-Business link into our company. BEL
Valves has supported a number of customers to date with the electronic
transfer of information, and in specific drawings files.
Over the coming year BEL Valves will be working on the development
of a full fledged E-Business system for electronic sales, marketing and
communication. We appreciate the vast implications for future success,
and additionally the potential cost savings and competitive advantage
being created by the Internet. In developing such a system we are focusing
on the following key issues:
Identifying who is really using the Net and what type of services
are required.
Pinpointing which areas of the business will achieve the greatest
ROI from introducing E-Commerce.
Examining how to capture accurate and detailed customer data
from our website.
Managing the impact E-Business will have on our organisation
structure, culture and processes.
Strategies for encouraging our customers to use the Internet
and overcoming security concerns.
All information currently being generated is being done so to support
this electronic communication. BEL Valves fully understands the
need for electronic communication as a means of improving efficiency and
reducing cost. In doing so we are in a position to be able to fully support
the requirements of our customers.
