Effective operational control of our range of Valves via any actuation method proprietary or 3rd party is also an important factor when designing the system. We have therefore developed solutions which are particularly suitable for use in our focused markets – for remote areas, on offshore platforms and in hostile environments.
Hydraulic control panels
Designed specifically to operate with BEL Valves proprietary close coupled actuators and valves or 3rd part actuators. The hydraulic control panels are typically used with Emergency Shutdown valves, Shut Down valves, HIPPS valves and Riser valves. The panels are designed specifically either as single acting – for the spring return actuator or as double acting – for the Split Gate type valve and actuator.
For the HIPPS and Riser type valve configurations an accumulation skid is supplied to give enough stored energy for 3 strokes of the valve and actuator in the event of power failure to ensure effective control of actuation.
Pneumatic control panels
These control panels are typically used for Blow Down Valves, By Pass Valves, Emergency Shut Down Valves & On/Off valves. The Blow Down valves and Emergency Shut Down Valves are more often supplied with an Air receiver with adequate stored air volume to operate the valve and actuator 3 times in the event of plant supply instrument air failure.
Hydro-Pneumatic control Panels
Similarly these control panels are supplied for the valve and actuator configurations as listed above but the main driver for operational control over the Hydraulics comes from the integrated Pneumatic pilot signals.
Control Manifolds
Again the manifolds are supplied and configured for the similar applications as those listed above. The Manifold systems may be supplied as Pneumatic, Hydraulic or a combination of both (Hydro-Pneumatic). The control manifold is designed and manufactured in house from a steel frame mounted with ancillary instrumentation with minimal pipe and fittings. The control manifolds are typically used for high pressure service or used in highly corrosive environments.
Hydraulic Power Units
Our Hydraulic Power units are typically used for surface and sub-sea applications. The sub-sea applications will be used in conjunction with an umbilical line to the sub-sea manifold.
The power units can be used for direct valve-actuator drive or for Accumulator skid charging units. Both types of unit are stand alone and fully automated negating the need for human intervention.
Accumulator skids
Accumulator skids come in many different guises the most common being the stand alone rack. The accumulation is mostly sized to store enough hydraulic volume under pressure to operate each valve for three strokes in emergency conditions. The difference in choosing which type will be mainly based on pressure rating and operational environment.
