Design for production is facilitated by design and production engineers working together from the same dedicated production facility in the UK.
Production capabilities include CNC machining, Multi-Axis Lathes, Machining Centres, Horizontal Boring, Vertical Boring, Wire Erosion/Electric Discharge, Surface Grinding and Cylindrical Grinding.
Key components are manufactured in-house so control is maintained throughout the production process.
Our Design and Manufacturing Engineers work closely and are physically located at the same site which facilitates best practice in design for manufacturing to ensure a quality product that performs in service.
The fact that we maintain in house control of all our processes results in the appropriate scheduling of work and timely delivery of Projects avoiding the reliance on external forces.
Full control is also maintained over the quality system, from component manufacture to final assembly and test, BEL Valves are the clear point of responsibility.
All critical processes are performed in house providing grinding and lapping of Tungsten Carbide surfaces for gates, seats, balls and stems, high volume small component manufacture, large component manufacture, valve body machining and Tungsten Carbide coating.
Assembly and test
Continuity is maintained by providing our own in house Assembly and Test facility.
We have heavily invested in testing facilities to maintain high levels of customer qualification testing, certification and testing in support of our Research and Development activities.
Our test facilities incorporate high pressure nitrogen gas testing and Hydro Test Fluid to greater than 30,000psi with lifting capacity up to 50 tonnes.
In house facilities enable endurance and emissions testing, fire and cryogenic testing, pressure and hyperbaric testing. In house paint and finishing facility completes the ‘end to end’ control of our customer projects.
