BEL Valves have produced and engineered, valves
to meet customers requirements for over 40 years . Considerable
experience has been gained over this period through supplying valves to
the Oil and Gas industry (onshore, offshore and subsea). BELs most
notable achievements include:
Development of a range of metal sealing through conduit, slab and expanding,
gate valves from 1/2 through 40. Pressure ratings to ANSI
class 4500 and API 15000 psi are manufactured to design codes API 6D and
6A up to and including Product Specification Level 4.
Development of a range of metal sealing Ball valves for Subsea applications
from 1/2" through 24". Pressure ratings to ANSI class 4500 and
API 15000 psi are manufactured.
To be the first supplier of valves to a project certified to the Pressure
Equipment Directive (PED).
Continual commitments to Research and Development projects to ensure products
are available to meet market requirements.
Design and manufacture of a full range of hydraulic and pneumatic actuators
for all applications including Subsea, Emergency Shut Down, Surface Safety,
and HIPPS for both BEL Gate and Ball valves.
Quality assurance system accredited to ISO 9001/BS 5750 part I. BEL
Valves is also approved by most major oil companies, API, Lloyds,
DNV, and Stoomwezem and is registered in the First Point Assessment and
Achilles Sytems.
Experience in the manufacture of valves in materials including carbon
steels, stainless steels (Austenitic, Ferritic, duplex, super duplex,
super Austenitic and HSSA), Nickle alloys (including weld overlay/cladding)
and Titanium.
In-house capability to tungsten carbide hard face, grind and machine lap,
gates, balls and seats. As a result of this investment in quality BEL
have produced several large bore valves, such as a 40 class 1500
slab and 40 class 900 split gate gate valve which were (metal to
metal) gas tight on testing.
Customising engineering routines and computer programmes including FEA
to allow BEL to optimise designs for each projects requirements
such as pipe bore, working pressure, end to end dimensions and any other
parameters.
Continuous commitment to staff development and training through an apprenticeship
scheme and sponsored further education for BELs technical and commercial
staff.
BEL has installed the in house capabilities to perform fire, sand/slurry,
PR2, Environment and Hyperbaric (3000m) testing.
Established full NDE and testing capabilities. BEL Foundrys laboratory
can carry out in house mechanical testing (including Impact tests) and
perform spectroscopic analysis of material samples etc.
