Summary

It is one of the prime philosophies of BEL Valves to achieve a closer collaboration between our customers, the engineering contractors and our suppliers. We believe that by being proactive and by listening to the market and additionally by staying in close contact with up and coming oilfield developments, that we can ultimately become more responsive to customer needs. Furthermore this benefits both our customers and ourselves in the development of new and current products, which satisfy those needs.

Project Specific Improvement

Our philosophy is that Product Improvements need to be continually sought, in order to improve/maintain profitability and market share. On a project basis we hold design review meetings early on in the life of each project to brainstorm ideas for improvements, aid manufacturability, and ensure compliance with functional specifications.

We review actual costs and times of manufacture of all jobs as they ship as a matter of course in an effort to gather data and identify potential areas for future improvement. Furthermore we also discuss ideas for improvement at our Team Leader and Management meetings.

In addition, we increasingly involve our suppliers with the details of our business; from recommending raw material shapes, to setting up consignment stocks against our forecast of needs, or any idea that they might bring that would help us.

Continuous Product Development

Underlying these Project Specific Improvements, BEL Valves have a continuous programme of Product Development to meet the needs of an ever growing market. We believe in working in close collaboration with our customers to achieve products which are an extension of our existing product portfolio, suit a particular market need, or develop a new market niche.
